The STIHL SHA 56 is the brand’s first cordless vacuum shredder and leaf blower, offering a practical and efficient solution for domestic garden maintenance. As part of the flexible STIHL AK System, this machine is expertly designed for both vacuuming leaves and hedge cuttings, and for gathering loose debris into manageable piles. Its quiet, battery-powered operation makes it ideal for use in residential areas.
Engineered for user comfort, the SHA 56 features an innovative rotatable handle with outstanding ergonomics, ensuring a comfortable grip whether in vacuum or blower mode. Converting between functions is remarkably simple and requires no tools; simply click the tubes into place and twist the handle 180 degrees. A variable speed trigger allows precise control over suction and blowing force, adapting to any task. The handle is also specially angled to make handling even more comfortable when used as a vacuum shredder.
In vacuum mode, the generous 40-litre catcher bag connects directly to the vacuum tube, a design choice that enhances comfort and balance by avoiding the need for a separate shoulder-slung bag. For additional support during longer tasks, a padded adjustable shoulder strap is included. A durable metal shredder blade located on the fan wheel effectively reduces material volume with a shredding ratio of 1:10, maximising the capacity of the collection bag. Should a blockage occur, the shredder blade opening is easily accessible for quick clearing.
Please note, this is the tool-only version of the SHA 56; the battery and charger are sold separately. This is a perfect choice for those who already own other tools from the STIHL AK System. The recommended AK 20 battery provides up to 25 minutes of working time.
