At its heart is a powerful, low-maintenance brushless EC motor that delivers a power output comparable to the AP System’s MSA 160 or the MS 162 petrol chainsaw. This represents a 30% power increase over the MSA 70, with only a minimal 200g increase in weight. STIHL’s intelligent electronics ensure the motor provides constant power, regardless of the battery’s charge level, for consistent performance from start to finish. Monitoring the chain oil level is effortless thanks to the transparent oil tank, and the tool-free cap makes refilling quick and clean.
