The STIHL MSA 80 C-B is a formidable new addition to the AK System of cordless tools, offering an exceptional power-to-weight ratio for domestic users. This chainsaw is specifically designed for private use, making it the perfect tool for cutting firewood, pruning branches, general woodworking, and even felling small trees up to 25 cm in diameter. It is the first chainsaw in the AK range to be equipped with a 14-inch guide bar, providing enhanced cutting capacity for a variety of garden tasks.
Please note, this is a ‘Tool Only’ version. The battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately. This model must be used with the AK 30 S battery for correct operation.
At its heart is a powerful, low-maintenance brushless EC motor that delivers a power output comparable to the AP System’s MSA 160 or the MS 162 petrol chainsaw. This represents a 30% power increase over the MSA 70, with only a minimal 200g increase in weight. STIHL’s intelligent electronics ensure the motor provides constant power, regardless of the battery’s charge level, for consistent performance from start to finish. For precise work, the trigger system allows for variable speed control, giving the operator maximum authority over the chain speed when working with different materials.
The MSA 80 C-B is engineered for comfortable and safe operation. It features two-handed operation with an ergonomically shaped handle and a soft-grip rear control handle with an improved Ergo lever for comfort at various cutting angles. Adjustments are made simple with the STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning system, which allows the chain to be re-tensioned quickly and without tools. Monitoring the chain oil level is effortless thanks to the transparent oil tank, and the tool-free cap makes refilling quick and clean. The tool is also compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector, allowing it to be integrated into the STIHL connected system for easy maintenance tracking.
