The STIHL HTA 50 is a lightweight cordless pole pruner designed to provide excellent cutting performance for tree maintenance in medium to large domestic gardens. Part of the versatile STIHL AK System, it delivers the power needed to tackle high branches with ease, combining cordless freedom with robust construction.
At the heart of the HTA 50 is its quality cutting attachment, featuring a 25 cm (10″) Rollomatic E Mini guide bar and a 1/4″ P PM3 saw chain. This combination ensures a clean, efficient cut. The pruner also includes a sturdy branch hook, a practical feature for pulling down and removing small, loose cuttings from the tree canopy after they have been sawn off.
STIHL has designed the HTA 50 with user comfort and convenience in mind. It features an ergonomic control unit that is intuitive to operate for both right-handed and left-handed users. Side-mounted chain tensioning makes it simple to adjust the saw chain, and a semi-transparent oil tank allows for quick and easy checks of the oil level during operation. For transport and storage, the shaft can be detached, making the unit more compact and manageable.
As this is the ‘tool only’ version, it is supplied without a battery or charger, making it a cost-effective choice for those already owning tools from the STIHL AK System. The recommended battery is the AK 20, which provides a perfect balance of weight and power, offering up to 45 minutes of working time or approximately 170 cuts in 10x10cm timber.
