The STIHL FSA 86 R is a high-performance battery-powered brushcutter designed for demanding home gardeners and semi-professional users. It effortlessly handles tough mowing, trimming, cutting, and lawn edging tasks. As a key part of the STIHL AP System of battery tools, it delivers impressive power with minimal noise, making it the perfect choice for working in noise-sensitive environments such as residential areas, hospitals, or schools. Its IPX4 rating also ensures it can be used confidently in all weather conditions.
Engineered for user comfort and control, the FSA 86 R features a soft grip handle with an integrated, infinitely variable speed control lever. This allows you to precisely manage the speed of the mowing head to suit the task at hand. The sturdy aluminium shaft and adjustable loop handle provide excellent balance and can be set to your desired working height. A practical spacer is included for accurately trimming around trees, plants, and other obstacles without causing damage.
The brushcutter comes equipped with the AutoCut C 6-2 mowing head, which can be refilled with line without needing any tools. For greater versatility, it is also compatible with the PolyCut 6-2 mowing head which uses polymer blades, and the DuroCut 5-2 mowing head which uses serrated line pieces for denser grass (both sold separately). The tool is also compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector for easy integration into the STIHL connected fleet management system.
Please note: This is a tool-only unit. The battery and charger are sold separately. The FSA 86 R is compatible with all batteries in the STIHL AP system. The recommended AP 200 S battery provides excellent balance and working time. Below are the approximate working times with various AP batteries and cutting heads.
