At the heart of the HLA 150 B is a powerful EC motor that drives the 60cm (24″) laser-cut, double-sided, diamond-ground blades. These friction-optimised blades deliver a clean, precise cut and contribute to extending battery life. The motor provides rapid blade acceleration up to 4,000 rpm, with three selectable speed levels (3,200, 3,600, and 4,000 rpm) managed via an ergonomic control handle. This allows the user to match the power to the task, conserving energy on lighter growth. An anti-lock feature automatically reverses blade movement if they jam on a thick branch, allowing for easy release.
STIHL has designed the HLA 150 B with user comfort and efficiency in mind. The tool-free telescopic shaft extends from 207cm to 332cm, providing exceptional reach. The cutter head can be adjusted by up to 145°, enabling precise trimming of hedge tops, sides, and awkward angles. A lightweight yet robust magnesium transmission ensures durability without adding unnecessary weight, while the overall excellent balance of the tool reduces operator fatigue.
