The STIHL KMA 135 R is a powerful, battery-operated KombiEngine designed specifically for professional gardeners, landscapers, and maintenance teams. It serves as the core power unit for the extensive STIHL KombiSystem, enabling a huge range of tasks from pruning and trimming to mowing and clearing with a single engine. Its battery power results in very low noise emissions, making it the perfect choice for working in noise-sensitive environments like schools, hospitals, parks, and residential neighbourhoods.

Engineered for demanding daily use, the KMA 135 R is powered by STIHL’s 36V AP lithium-ion battery system. Changing attachments is exceptionally simple; just insert the desired KombiTool into the shaft and tighten the coupling to secure it in place. This model is compatible with all KombiTools, with the exception of the FSB-KM brushcutter.

Advanced Features for Superior Control

The KMA 135 R features a high-efficiency, low-maintenance brushless EC motor that delivers consistent power, even as the battery charge depletes. The multi-function control handle includes a three-stage speed adjustment and an LED display, allowing the operator to match the power output perfectly to the task at hand. This not only provides greater control but also conserves energy to extend battery runtime. The fitted loop handle and barrier bar offer excellent manoeuvrability and safety, especially when working on slopes, around obstacles, or in confined spaces.

Durability is enhanced by a metal mesh air filter that ensures optimal engine cooling and is easy to clean for a long service life. The KMA 135 R is also IPX4 rated for proven splashwater protection, meaning it can be used reliably in rainy conditions. Furthermore, it is prepared for use with a Smart Connector 2 A, allowing for integration into the STIHL connected fleet management system.

Battery and Runtime

Please note, this is a tool-only unit and is supplied without a battery or charger. It is compatible with all batteries in the STIHL AP System. The working time will vary significantly depending on the KombiTool attached and the battery used. For example, using the HT-KM pole pruner, an AP 300 S battery provides up to 78 minutes of runtime. For maximum working time, the AP 500 S battery is recommended, though users may prefer a lighter battery for tasks requiring extended overhead work. The KMA 135 R is supplied with a basic harness as standard.
