The STIHL FSA 30 is an exceptionally lightweight and versatile cordless grass trimmer, supplied as a complete kit with battery and charger. It is perfectly designed for maintaining lawn edges and clearing around obstacles in smaller home gardens.
The STIHL FSA 30 battery-powered grass trimmer is an extremely light and easy-to-use tool, making it particularly suitable for homeowners with small gardens. It excels at maintaining lawn edges and clearing grass around trees, under shrubs, or along walls and stairs. As part of STIHL’s AS System, it is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery that ensures quiet, emission-free operation.
The FSA 30 is packed with flexible adjustment options to ensure comfortable and precise operation. The length of the main shaft can be adjusted to suit the user’s height, while the angle of the loop handle can be altered for optimal grip. Furthermore, the working angle of the mowing head can be changed by up to 90°, a feature that enables precise vertical cutting of lawn edges. During use, the battery’s charge status can be checked at any time by pressing the indicator button on the side of the trimmer.
As standard, the FSA 30 is fitted with a PolyCut 3-2 mowing head, which uses two robust polymer blades that can be replaced quickly without tools. For added convenience, spare blades can be stored directly on the tool itself. The trimmer is also compatible with the AutoCut 3-2 mowing head, which uses mowing line instead of blades. A protective spacer bracket prevents accidental damage to plants, trees, or objects by ensuring the cutting tool does not stray too far. This model comes with clear safety glasses as standard.

The run time depends on the cutting head being used. With the standard PolyCut 3-2 blade head, you can expect up to 19 minutes of use. If you switch to an AutoCut mowing line head, the run time is approximately 10 minutes per full charge.
The FSA 30 is part of the STIHL AS System, designed for compact, handheld tools. It is exclusively compatible with the AS 2 battery. Batteries from other STIHL systems, such as the AK or AP series, will not fit this tool.
