The cutting head features a light yet robust magnesium gearbox, which reduces fatigue during long periods of use, making work more energy-efficient. A practical branch hook is attached to the magnesium housing for removing cut branches, while the lateral chip ejection system prevents the gearbox from clogging. For added stability, the sprocket cover includes a dipstick that can be used for positioning the pole pruner during operation. A thoughtful 1:1 oil-to-petrol tank ratio means chain oil top-ups align with refuelling, minimising downtime.

Ergonomic Design and Operator Comfort

Handling the HT 135 is both safe and comfortable. All essential engine controls are integrated into the single-handed multi-function handle, making it easy to operate for both right and left-handed users. To reduce operator fatigue, the effective STIHL anti-vibration system helps to relieve muscles and joints by dampening engine vibrations. The rigid, adjustable telescopic shaft can be quickly altered for different working heights or for compact transportation, with a total length adjustable from 270 cm to 390 cm, allowing it to cut branches up to a height of 5 m. For maximum cutting performance, the HT 135 can be used with a ¼”P or a 3/8”P cutting attachment. An ergonomic, padded shoulder strap and mounting clamp for an RTS harness are included with the pruner.
