The STIHL RM 448.3 V is a self-propelled petrol lawn mower engineered for domestic users with medium to large-sized lawns. As part of STIHL’s 4 Series range, it combines innovative features with robust construction, making it an excellent choice for maintaining gardens up to 1200 m². Its 46cm (18″) cutting width strikes a perfect balance between coverage and manoeuvrability.
This mower offers exceptional flexibility with four distinct mowing functions, all achievable without additional tools. Users can choose to: cut and collect using the 52-litre grass catcher box; cut and drop by simply removing the box; use the integrated side discharge flap for managing longer grass; or mulch with the multi-blade and mulching attachment to finely shred clippings and return them to the lawn as a natural fertiliser.
The RM 448.3 V features a rugged polymer deck that is lightweight, rust-proof, and double-layered for enhanced stability. It is also resistant to both UV rays and petrol. The smooth-running wheels ensure excellent traction and control. Starting is made simple with the reliable EVC 300 easy-start engine. Adjusting the cutting height is effortless thanks to a single-point adjustment lever, offering a range from 20 mm to 100 mm.
Operator comfort is central to this mower’s design. The Vario self-drive system allows the mowing speed to be infinitely adjusted via a control lever, matching the user’s pace and the lawn’s conditions. The comfort mono-handlebar provides unobstructed access to the grass catcher box, which features a fill-level indicator to signal when it needs emptying. For storage, the handlebar folds down compactly using the Quick-Fix tensioners, and the super-soft handle grip absorbs vibrations for a more comfortable mowing experience.
