The STIHL HTA 30.0 is a compact and lightweight cordless pole pruner, specifically designed for homeowners and garden enthusiasts. It is the first pole pruner in STIHL’s AS System, making it an ideal choice for pruning high branches, removing dead wood, and maintaining taller shrubs and hedges. Its quiet, low-vibration operation means you can work comfortably without the need for hearing protection.
This model features a tool-free adjustable telescopic shaft, extending from 190cm up to a total length of 280cm, providing ample reach for most domestic tree care tasks. Despite its long reach, the HTA 30.0 is exceptionally easy to handle, weighing just 3.6kg with its battery, and is well-balanced thanks to the optimal centre of gravity. The soft-grip handle ensures a comfortable and secure hold during use.
Fitted with a 20 cm (8″) STIHL Light 01 guide bar and a 1/4″ PM3 saw chain, the HTA 30.0 delivers clean, precise cuts on branches up to 17cm in diameter. The compact cutting head offers excellent visibility and manoeuvrability, even in tight spaces. A standout feature is the RightTight chain tensioning system; a spring-loaded mechanism under the sprocket cover allows for quick, intuitive, and tool-free chain adjustments. Further user-friendly features include a transparent oil tank for easy level monitoring, a branch hook for removing cut material from trees, and a protective foot to prevent the housing from touching the ground.
This kit comes complete with two interchangeable AS 2 lithium-ion batteries and an AL 31 charger. The STIHL AS System allows these batteries to be used across a range of other compact tools, including leaf blowers, grass trimmers, and hedge trimmers. With two AS 2 batteries, the HTA 30.0 provides a working time of up to 28 minutes, or approximately 140 cuts. The intelligent electronics ensure constant power output, meaning performance doesn’t fade as the battery discharges. An LED charge status indicator lets you keep an eye on the remaining power at all times.
