Getting started is simple. The free Gardena Bluetooth® App (for iOS and Android) guides you step-by-step through the connection process. Once paired, you can use the Scheduling Assistant to suggest ideal watering cycles for your plants or create up to three distinct, individual schedules. Each schedule can have different start times, durations, and repeat on specific days of the week, offering complete flexibility for any garden layout.
Water-Saving Features and Manual Control
The system is designed to be efficient. A ‘rain break’ function can be activated to pause watering during wet weather, saving water and protecting plants from over-saturation. For even greater efficiency, it can be connected to the Gardena Soil Moisture Sensor (sold separately), which ensures watering only occurs when the soil is dry. For immediate watering needs, a central button on the unit allows you to start and stop a watering cycle manually at any time.

Engineered in Germany for durability, the Water Control Bluetooth® features three status LEDs to show the current Bluetooth® connection, watering status, and battery level. The required 9V alkaline battery (not included) provides power for a full year of operation. Gardena’s ‘Safe Stop’ technology adds peace of mind; if the battery power is too low to complete a full cycle, the system will not start, preventing your garden from being overwatered or the system being left open. This ensures you always have your automatic watering under control.
