The STIHL 4-MIX® engine delivers fantastic power with reduced maintenance needs. As a four-stroke engine that runs on a petrol-oil mix, it eliminates the need for separate oil circuit components, making it more compact and lightweight than conventional four-stroke engines. The automatic decompression system makes starting effortless by reducing the compression pressure during the pull-start, significantly lessening the force required on the starter cord. A manual fuel pump further simplifies the starting process, especially after long breaks, by ensuring the carburettor is primed with fuel.
Working for extended periods is made more comfortable thanks to the STIHL anti-vibration system. Buffer and spring elements within the machine reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area, protecting the operator’s arms and hands from fatigue. The loop handle design is perfect for navigating tight spaces, such as thinning between bushes and shrubs, providing precise control. The FS 91 R is supplied with a single shoulder harness to help support the machine’s weight during use.
