At its core is a powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine, which delivers excellent cutting performance while maintaining low fuel consumption. The chainsaw is equipped with a 12” (30 cm) guide bar and a 3/8″ P saw chain, which provides a high cutting performance due to its narrow kerf. To enhance user comfort, especially during longer tasks, the STIHL anti-vibration system is integrated to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the handle, relieving strain on the user’s muscles and joints.
Operation is made straightforward with a single-lever master control. The combi-lever with a stop function ensures the machine is ready to restart immediately after an interruption, streamlining the workflow. Practicality is further enhanced by transparent fuel and oil tanks, allowing the operator to quickly check levels at a glance. Re-tensioning the chain is a safe and simple process thanks to the practical side-mounted chain tensioning system.
The highly power-efficient STIHL 2-MIX engine reduces exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, lowering operating costs. This low-maintenance 2-stroke engine uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels and complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.
To ensure more pleasant work, the buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system significantly reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area. This makes the power tool more comfortable to hold and results in much less fatigue for the operator.
This feature allows for protected, easy, and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is accessed laterally through the sprocket cover, keeping hands away from the sharp saw chain.
This control system in the carburettor uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality, and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period, even as the air filter becomes contaminated. This reduces maintenance frequency, as the filter only needs cleaning when a noticeable drop in performance occurs.
The transparent chain oil tank makes it easy to monitor the fill level. This ensures the operator always knows when a top-up is needed for efficient work over long periods.
STIHL’s four-channel technology guides the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder in a targeted and compressed manner. This optimises fuel combustion and significantly increases engine performance, resulting in lower fuel consumption and high torque.
Operation is simplified as only one start position is required. Thanks to the stop function, the control lever immediately moves back into the operating position once the machine is turned off, allowing a warm machine to be restarted immediately without changing lever positions.
For added peace of mind, the domestic warranty can be extended from 2 to 3 years with the purchase of 5 litres of STIHL MotoMix® fuel. The registration for this extended warranty will be handled at the point of purchase.
