Designed for Operator Comfort and Control

STIHL has engineered the KM 131 R with the operator in mind. The effective STIHL anti-vibration system uses buffer and spring elements to reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle, minimising operator fatigue during long working hours. The loop handle, combined with a protective barrier bar, ensures excellent manoeuvrability, particularly in confined spaces, while keeping the user’s feet and legs safely away from the working attachment. All essential controls are integrated into the single-handed multi-function handle, allowing for easy and reliable operation for both right- and left-handed users.

Intelligent Features for Easy Operation

Starting the KM 131 R is made effortless thanks to several key features. The automatic decompression system reduces the compression pressure when starting, significantly decreasing the force needed on the starter cord. This is supported by a manual fuel pump, which reduces the number of starting strokes required after breaks in operation. The stop button allows the engine to be switched off for a short break and then springs back into the start position, ensuring the engine is immediately ready to restart. The quick-release coupling with a clamping screw allows for the rapid, tool-free changing of the various KombiTools, maximising efficiency on the job.
