The trimmer comes supplied with the AutoCut C 6-2 mowing head, and for more demanding tasks like thinning work or cutting larger weeds, it can also be fitted with an optional PolyCut head.

The STIHL FS 38 has a 2-stroke engine and requires a petrol-oil mixture at a ratio of 50:1. This is equivalent to 20ml of 2-stroke oil for every 1 litre of petrol. For optimal performance and engine longevity, it is highly recommended to use STIHL’s own HP Ultra 2-stroke engine oil.
