*Maximum coverage for both models. The area you can maintain depends on layout, grass growth, terrain and available mowing hours. We assess these on your site.
save your labour for the
jobs that require it.
Bunker maintenance, pitch repairs and drainage still need your team’s attention. Robotic mowing reduces the time they spend cutting grass, helping them fit those jobs into the working week.
KR238EG · GOLF COURSES
MOW FAIRWAYS & SEMI-ROUGH
Maintains suitable fairways, semi-rough and surrounding turf while your greenkeepers attend to bunkers, drainage and repairs.
- Plan separate mowing zones around the course.
- Adapt cutting heights between fairways, semi-rough and roughs.
- Reduce reliance on heavy ride-on mowing for routine work.
KR238EF · SPORTS FACILITIES
For pitches with busy fixture lists
Schedule cutting between training sessions and matches. At clubs, schools and multi-pitch grounds, your team can use the hours they save for pitch repairs and preparation.
- Schedule mowing around fixture times.
- Manage connected pitches as individual working zones.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules through the app.
How does a robotic mower
work on your site?
We map the areas you want to maintain and plan routes between them. You choose mowing times around play, then daily managing and adjustments are done via the app or computer.
VIRTUAL BOUNDARIES
We map where the mower can travel and the areas it must avoid, such as bunkers and flowerbeds. You don’t need a buried boundary wire or a separate RTK antenna installed on your grounds.
POSITIONING & VISION
The mower follows planned cutting paths. If satellite reception weakens, camera-based V-SLAM, motion sensors and wheel movement help it maintain its position.
SCHEDULE & MONITOR
Use the app to set mowing times, manage zones and check progress. When the mower is low on battery it will return back to its station, charge and then continue cutting.
CHECK & MAINTAIN
Your team checks the mowing area, cleans the mower and replaces worn blades. We’ll show you how to carry out those checks and manage its day-to-day operation.
MAINTAIN AN EVEN CUT
THROUGHout THE SEASON.
Frequent light cuts help keep the grass at your chosen height. The fine clippings remain in the turf, returning nutrients as they break down. Adjust the mowing schedule as growth changes through the season.
LITTLE AND OFTEN
Regular light cuts help maintain an even height, with fine clippings returned to the turf. Naturally fertalising and improving the turf.
FOLLOW THE CONTOURS
The terrain-following cutting deck adapts to undulations to help maintain an even finish and reduce the risk of scalping.
LESS HEAVY TRAFFIC
Moving suitable work away from heavier conventional mowers can reduce heavy machinery traffic across your turf. Battery power also means no exhaust fumes at the mower.
MANAGE MOWING FROM THE APP
Manage your site remotely and immediately. Use the app to check status, manage zones and change schedules.
MOW BETWEEN FIXTURES.
CHOOSE YOUR PITCH STRIPES.
CUT OVERNIGHT, KEEP PITCHES AVAILABLE DURING THE DAY
Schedule mowing after the last training session. The KR238EF can maintain up to 22,000m² overnight, moving between mapped pitches while your facilities are out of use.
Coverage depends on the layout, grass growth and mowing hours available. We’ll assess the area you need to maintain, including surrounds and routes between pitches.
CHOOSE THE STRIPES FOR YOUR PITCHES
Set the stripe width to suit your preferred presentation. RTK-guided mowing keeps the cutting passes aligned for a consistent striped finish.
We’ll demonstrate the available striping settings and confirm the setup for your pitches.
MAGNETIC DEBRIS COLLECTION
FieldSafe uses magnets to collect ferrous metal debris from the playing surface. Ask us about KR238EF compatibility, availability and any additional cost. Continue your usual pitch inspections.
USED AT ESTABLISHED GOLF VENUES
Kress equipment is used at golf venues including The Belfry and The Grove. Explore the range of courses and sports grounds using robotic turf care.
What could robotic mowing save your business?
Compare the cost of your current mowing routine with the machine, installation and ongoing costs of a robotic system. We’ll help you work through the figures for your site.
REDUCE MOWING SHIFTS
Count the hours spent mowing, including overtime and seasonal labour. Time reassigned to other work has value, even when your wage bill stays the same.
COMPARE RUNNING COSTS
We will help you compare your current costs of fuel, servicing and maintenance compared to the robotic alternative.
Larger sites
If one mower cannot cover the required area within your available mowing hours, we can plan a fleet. Add machines as you expand robotic mowing to more of the site.
Estimate the time and running costs you could save.
Enter your current mowing hours and costs. The example figures are a starting point.
YOUR MOWING WEEK
Example inputs, not measured KR238 running costs. Compare the same area and season.
EDIT SEASONAL RUNNING COSTS
Example: £1,800 fuel + £1,200 servicing, compared with £450 electricity + £900 servicing and blades. Figures exclude VAT; use the same VAT basis for both.
Please enter valid numbers in each field. The season must be between 1 and 52 weeks.
Your current seasonal mowing workload. Time spent checking and maintaining a robotic mower is not deducted.
Current mowing labour cost
Seasonal running-cost difference
Running-cost assumptions: £3,000 conventional / £1,350 robotic per season.
Current mowing hours = staff hours per week × weeks. Current mowing labour cost = current mowing hours × hourly staff cost. Reassigning staff to other work saves money on wages if it reduces paid hours or avoids extra hiring. Running-cost difference = conventional costs − robotic costs. Results exclude purchase or lease payments, installation, finance, depreciation and battery replacement. Other grounds work remains. Negative results mean increased time or cost. This is an illustration, not a quote or payback forecast.

PLANNING YOUR DEMONSTRATION
DO WE NEED BOUNDARY WIRES OR AN ANTENNA?
Kress RTKⁿ uses mapped virtual boundaries and network correction data, without a buried boundary wire or an on-site RTK base antenna. We’ll assess local coverage, satellite reception and routes between zones. You’ll need a suitable charging location and power supply.
CAN ONE MACHINE COVER OUR WHOLE SITE?
Both variants have a published maximum of 88,000m² over 48 hours. The area you can maintain depends on available mowing hours, turf growth, travel between areas and layout. We’ll assess whether you need one machine or several.
WILL IT REPLACE EVERY JOB OUR MOWERS DO?
Your team will need equipment for edging, specialist surfaces and other grounds work. We’ll identify suitable areas for robotic mowing during the site assessment; putting greens and low-cut cricket squares need a separate assessment.
is it safe around people?
Cameras and obstacle sensors help the machine respond to its surroundings cutting around obstacles and keeping a safe distance from people and animals.
CALCULATING YOUR SAVINGS
That depends on your current workload, costs and the system your site needs. The calculator separates the value of time released from running-cost differences. A full business case also includes purchase or finance, installation and ongoing care. During your demonstration, we’ll discuss the costs and workload at your site. We will then supply all costings and ROI calculations.
