Intelligent Navigation and App Control

At the heart of the 312V is its sophisticated guidance system. A built-in camera employs AI to identify and avoid objects, preventing collisions with toys, tools, or garden furniture. This is combined with satellite navigation to ensure the mower achieves full coverage, even where satellite signals might be weaker, as long as it can see grass. Everything is managed through the Automower® Connect app (available on iOS and Android), which allows you to define virtual work areas, create temporary stay-out zones, and adjust settings on the fly. You can even choose from selectable mowing patterns, such as striped, checkerboard, or triangle, for a unique finish on lawns up to 1,200 m². For a more traditional, carpet-like appearance, the irregular pattern mode covers up to 800 m².

Connectivity and Setup Requirements

A successful wire-free installation depends on two key elements: the Automower® Connect app and stable Wi-Fi internet coverage across the entire lawn. The mower receives centimetre-level positioning data via the Husqvarna Cloud, which requires this connection. You can easily test your garden’s Wi-Fi signal with a smartphone. Should the signal be insufficient, options like a Wi-Fi range extender or Mesh system can help. For more robust solutions, a dealer-installed Automower® Connect kit for cellular connectivity or a Husqvarna EPOS™ RS1 reference station are available. The RS1 provides even greater accuracy (2-3 cm) without needing an internet connection.
