At its heart is the first-class Kawasaki FR691 V-Twin engine, delivering consistent power to the commercial-grade Hydro-Gear® ZT-3100 transaxles. The ‘R’ in its name signifies its key feature: a rear-discharge cutting deck. This design efficiently ejects grass clippings between the rear wheels, preventing them from being thrown onto paths, driveways, or into flower beds, ensuring a tidy finish.

The 132 cm (52″) ENVY™ mower deck is fabricated from 10-gauge steel and is 14 cm (5.5″) deep, featuring improved airflow and an enlarged discharge for a perfect cut, even on grass that is lying down. This advanced deck is suspended at four points for stability and parallelism, and features blade spindles made of forged aluminium, which run cooler and are more resistant to impact than cast alternatives.

Long mowing sessions are made more comfortable thanks to the APEX 52R’s focus on ergonomics. It features a high-back plush seat with padded armrests and an adjustable operator position. The new ergonomic steering levers fit perfectly in the hand, providing effortless control and manoeuvrability. Raising and lowering the heavy-duty deck is made simple with the foot-operated, spring-assisted deck lift system. A simple metal plug allows the operator to select one of 15 cutting heights, ranging from 3.8 cm to 12.7 cm.
