Aggressive Thatch Removal for Healthier Lawns

The Allett UC Dethatcher Cartridge is engineered for lawns that require serious intervention. Boasting wider spaced and thicker tines, it is the most aggressive cartridge in the Allett range, designed to penetrate the soil to a maximum depth of 6mm. It is highly effective at removing the densest layers of thatch, including dead grass, leaves, stubborn plant stolons, and weed growth.

By rigorously working the soil’s surface, the Dethatcher cartridge allows essential water, air, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. This process helps lawns grow healthier, thicker, and more luscious, while also making them less susceptible to diseases that encourage moss growth. For optimal results, dethatching should be carried out once a year in late Spring or Autumn when there is sufficient moisture to aid lawn recovery.

Performance and Compatibility

This powerful cartridge is capable of removing twice as much material as the Allett Verticut cartridge, making it the ideal choice for tackling severe thatch build-up. It has a cultivation depth down to -10mm and is specifically designed for use with the Allett Stirling mower as part of the innovative Ultra-Change cartridge system (Int Pat App WO 2023/079275).
